What is Reiki?

Have you ever wondered what Reiki is? The doors open for the next round for the Reiki I & II course on the 27th. So I want to go back to the basics for anyone that’s new to Reiki or has been wanting to learn more but hasn’t found the time. (I’m also offering a masterclass on the 27th where we’ll dive deeper into this, information is below)

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique. The word Reiki is composed of two words. Rei represents the Soul, Higher Self, Spirit, something greater than ourselves. Ki is life force energy, this is the energy that gives life to all living things, it animates us, gives us energy, keeps us thriving and strong.

Reiki works by connecting in with your Higher Power to channel this life force energy. This can be done in a vast number of ways, through gentle hand placements on the body or through meditation and focusing techniques used in distance healing. There are also Reiki symbols that are used to help send this healing through all space and time. Reiki can be sent to anyone, anywhere, at any time.

When our life force energy becomes depleted it can manifest in the body as pain, dis-ease, or mental and emotional stress. It can also cause you to feel spiritually blocked or disconnected from your higher power.

Reiki can be used in these situations to help restore life force energy to the body. During a session, the body enters the relaxation response where the body can access its own healing capabilities. This results in reduced stress and a variety of other benefits.

What questions do you have about Reiki?

I look forward to sharing more information with you over the next few weeks!

Sending you love and light,
Natasha Nirvana
