Try This Practice To Increase Energy Levels

Have you ever considered that your intuition can actually help you to increase your energy levels?

We often hear about various methods to boost our energy levels: exercise, nutrition, adequate sleep, and so on. But one often underestimated aspect is the power of intuition.

When you listen to your intuition, you’re aligning yourself with your authentic desires and needs. This alignment can lead to reduced stress, increased emotional well-being, and even improved physical health.

Imagine the energy you could save by living in flow with who you are and what is most in alignment for you!

Over the next few weeks, I am going to share with you some different practices you can begin incorporating into your life as a way to begin living more intuitively. Try these practices as I share them and let me know how they impact your energy levels.

Practice Mindful Moments As a Way to Increase Energy Levels

Mindfulness is a powerful tool for cultivating present-moment awareness. By focusing on your breath and observing your thoughts, you’re training your mind to be fully present in the now. This heightened awareness extends to your intuitive sensations, allowing you to recognize and interpret those subtle nudges from within.

Mindfulness enhances your awareness of the present moment, making you more attuned to your intuitive sensations. Over time, this practice can reduce stress and increase your overall energy levels.

As you settle into the moment, you’ll likely notice your mind’s natural tendency to wander. Thoughts, worries, and distractions may arise. Instead of suppressing them, embrace them with compassion. Acknowledge each thought as it emerges, observing without judgment, and gently guide your attention back to your breath.

Studies have shown that regular mindfulness practice leads to reduced cortisol levels—the notorious stress hormone—resulting in a calmer nervous system. When your energy isn’t consumed by stress responses, it’s free to fuel your passions, creativity, and vitality.

Consistent mindfulness practices nurture growth over time. As you incorporate this practice into your daily routine, you’ll likely experience a cascade of benefits: increased resilience, improved focus, heightened self-awareness, and, of course, a boost in energy.

Your mindfulness practice will likely create a ripple effect throughout your life. The energy you cultivate through mindful stillness can spill over into your interactions, work, and leisure. Imagine a life where your wellspring of energy fuels your pursuits and infuses each moment with vibrant presence.

Try this over the next few weeks:

Set aside a few minutes each day for mindful stillness. Find a quiet space, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. As thoughts arise, observe them without judgment and gently guide your attention back to your breath.

Managing Energy Levels During Pregnancy: My Experience as an Intuitive Coach

I have officially begun my maternity leave! After 36 weeks of pregnancy, maintaining my practice became increasingly difficult. I made the decision to start my maternity leave early so I could conserve my energy while I finish growing this baby and prepare for the next phase of my life journey.

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing tips and lessons I learned from my pregnancy and preparing for my maternity leave. This week, I am excited to share my experience as an intuitive coach and the challenges I faced in managing my energy levels during pregnancy. Join me on my journey through pregnancy as an intuitive coach!

Energy Level Challenges

During my pregnancy, I encountered several challenges in managing my energy levels. I learned that each person’s pregnancy experience is unique and unpredictable, and that it’s crucial to prioritize taking care of one’s own energy and needs. It was difficult to anticipate what to expect, and I often felt unprepared for the changes I was going through.

From the very beginning of my pregnancy, each day was different and unpredictable. Some days, I woke up feeling full of energy and ready to tackle the day ahead. Other days, I felt run down and exhausted, struggling to complete even the most basic tasks. As a result, planning my days became very challenging. There were times when I had plans that I was too tired to follow through on, and times when I really wanted to do something that my body just wouldn’t allow me to do.

As an intuitive coach, I’ve learned and taught about the importance of prioritizing your own healing. No one can give from an empty cup, and one reason I love Reiki is that it provides tools to keep my energy in balance. I’m so grateful that I had already established self-care and energy management routines before my pregnancy. Managing my energy levels was already a significant aspect of my practice. However, during pregnancy, this became even more challenging. Building a human being takes a tremendous amount of energy; according to research, it’s equivalent to running a 40-week marathon!

“Pregnancy is the longest-duration, highest-energy-expenditure thing that humans can do. Mothers probably aren’t surprised by this,” said Herman Pontzer.

As someone who holds space for others in the capacity that I do, I am constantly aware of the importance of taking care of my own energy. It can be challenging to balance my role as a healer with my own self-care needs, especially during pregnancy when managing my energy levels became even more crucial. I frequently struggled to find enough energy to maintain my practice and care for myself, but I knew that it was essential to prioritize my own needs in order to be able to show up fully for my clients.

As my pregnancy progressed and my body changed, meeting my basic needs for sleep, food, and exercise became more and more challenging. I found that I needed more sleep than usual, but was often unable to sleep well due to discomfort and difficulty getting comfortable. Similarly, I needed to eat more to nourish myself and my growing baby, but I often experienced nausea and digestive issues that made it difficult to eat enough. Finally, exercise was important for maintaining my energy levels and overall health, but as my belly grew and my body changed, many activities became more difficult or uncomfortable.

Despite these challenges, I knew that meeting my basic needs was essential for balancing my energy and taking care of myself and my baby. I had to get creative and find new ways to prioritize my needs, such as taking naps whenever possible, eating small, frequent meals throughout the day, and experimenting with different forms of exercise that felt good for my changing body. It wasn’t always easy, but I found that when I was able to meet my basic needs, I felt better and had more energy to face the challenges of pregnancy.

It’s unfortunate that the challenges of pregnancy are often not openly discussed. Prior to becoming pregnant, most people who talked to me about pregnancy only had positive things to say. They would describe how wonderful it was and how much they loved being pregnant, including the popular food cravings and precious moments. However, what people don’t often discuss are the struggles of pregnancy, at least not until you’ve officially “joined the club” and are already experiencing them.

After becoming pregnant, I quickly realized that there were many challenges that people don’t talk about. This may be due to the culture we live in, which sometimes adopts a “don’t talk about it” attitude towards difficult topics. Unfortunately, this often results in loneliness, which I’ll discuss in a later post. When we don’t talk about our struggles, it creates imbalances in our energy that are hard to overcome because we lose the opportunity to learn from others what balancing our energy really means.

Despite the challenges, I remained committed to managing my energy levels and prioritizing my needs. I discovered that meeting my basic needs made me feel better and gave me more energy to tackle the demands of pregnancy. Although it was not always easy, I found that with creativity, persistence, and a supportive community, managing my energy levels during pregnancy was possible.

In next week’s newsletter, I will delve deeper into the strategies I used to manage my energy levels while building a family and maintaining a successful practice as an intuitive coach. As you may know, balancing one’s personal and professional life can be quite challenging, and it is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed or burned out. However, it is crucial to prioritize taking care of your own energy and needs first. This is especially important no matter what phase of life you’re in or what your passion is.

Remember, by investing in yourself, you will be better equipped to give your best to others, whether it be your family, clients, or community. So stay tuned for next week’s newsletter, where I’ll be sharing some valuable insights and tips to help you better manage your energy and achieve a more fulfilling life!

Celebrating My Birthday and My Journey into Motherhood

Today is my birthday! It’s such a special day for me because it marks the end of a beautiful phase of life and the beginning of a new, exciting one. This is the last birthday I’ll be celebrating before our little one joins us. It’s amazing how much my life has transformed in the past year, and I feel incredibly blessed to be on this journey.

As I look back on the past year, I’m filled with a sense of gratitude for all the experiences I’ve had. It’s been a time of growth, both personally and professionally. I’m living the life I wanted to create and have spent the last 11 years building. I get to enjoy this new phase of my life while my business grows and evolves in a way that supports me.

Pregnancy has been an incredible journey for me, both physically and emotionally. It’s been a time of self-discovery as I prepare to become a mother. While I haven’t talked much about my pregnancy journey and how Reiki has helped me, it has been a deeply transformative experience. It has taught me to embrace change and accept the unknown with open arms.

As a Reiki Master, I’ve always been fascinated by the power of life force energy. It’s amazing to experience it firsthand as I grow this little life inside of me. It’s a miraculous feeling to know that I’m nurturing a life force that will one day go out into the world and make a difference in its own unique way.

Building a bond with my baby has been an incredibly profound experience. I feel connected to him or her in a way that I can’t quite explain. It’s like we share this deep, unspoken connection that transcends words. I can’t wait to see how this bond develops over time.

So, how did you celebrate your last birthday before becoming a parent? It’s amazing how much life can change in just a year, isn’t it?

Building Resilience: Three Ways to Foster Courage

In continuation of last week’s blog post where we discussed avoidance, this week I want to explore practical tips for building resilience and taking courageous actions with you. By implementing these strategies, you can overcome avoidance and reach your full potential. We’ll discuss three specific ways to foster courage: saying the thing you are avoiding, writing a letter, and doing the thing you’ve been avoiding. These strategies can help you embrace discomfort and build resilience in your personal and professional life.

  1. Say the thing you are avoiding. It really is that simple. There is no substitute for it. Our fears, worries, and concerns are often unfounded. People care more about us than we think, but we must give them an opportunity to show it. In fact, when we say the thing we are avoiding, we often create more connection, trust, and an outcome that works for all involved. Relationships based on real shared vulnerability are stronger, last longer, and are more resilient in the face of challenges.
  2. Write a letter. This is all about expressing what we’re holding back, leaving out, or avoiding. I want you to take the time and write out what you want to say in a letter. Sometimes we just have to say the thing, even if it’s just in a letter that we may never give to the recipient. We find that once we say the thing in a letter, it takes away the sting. We can identify what really needs to be said and what doesn’t but still needs to be felt by us and fleshed out. We also gain the courage to say what we want to say when we put it into words, even in a letter. Take a moment and think of one person to whom you need to say something BIG but have been unwilling to simply SAY THE THING. Then, write a letter to them and SAY THE THING.
  3. Do the thing that you’ve been avoiding. Doing it now is important because it offers liberation, wisdom, and growth. There is no better time than now to adopt this philosophy and implement it flawlessly. The thing we avoid the most often offers us the best liberation possible, with incredible wisdom, insight, and a real chance to expand, grow, and evolve. The results and relationships that come from doing the thing we are avoiding tend to be the most rewarding. So, do the thing NOW, no matter what. Find the time, the money, and the reason. The idea that we lack the knowledge, time, money, support, or reason is just an illusion feeding our ego’s excuses. Always remember that doing the thing matters.

Being courageous is not just about doing the things that are easy, but also about doing the things that we may avoid or saying the things that we leave unsaid. It is important to recognize that when we avoid doing something or saying something, we may be holding ourselves back from growth and progress.

By facing our fears and speaking up, we can become stronger and more confident in ourselves and our abilities. As you can see, doing the things we avoid or saying the things we leave unsaid is a crucial part of being courageous in all things.

It takes courage to step out of our comfort zones and confront difficult situations, but in doing so, we can unlock new opportunities and experiences that we may have never thought possible. It is essential that we embrace the power of courage in all aspects of our lives, from our personal relationships to our professional endeavors.

Avoidance is a common struggle for many of us, but it doesn’t have to hold us back. By embracing discomfort and taking courageous actions, we can overcome avoidance and reach our full potential. It’s okay to feel scared sometimes, but we need to be brave enough to face our fears.

Building resilience is key to taking courageous actions. Practical strategies for overcoming avoidance and building resilience include saying the thing you are avoiding, writing a letter, and doing the thing you’ve been avoiding.

Take a moment to reflect on how avoidance may be affecting your life and relationships. Ask yourself the questions we provided and consider implementing the strategies we discussed.

Don’t let avoidance hold you back from living a fulfilling life. Embrace discomfort, take courageous actions, and reach your full potential.

If you’re struggling with avoidance, try out the strategies we discussed. Say the thing you’ve been avoiding, write that letter, and do that thing you’ve been putting off. Building resilience takes time and effort, but it’s worth it in the end.

I hope this article has been helpful in providing you with the tools you need to overcome avoidance and take courageous actions. If you have any questions or would like to share your experience, feel free to reach out! I’m here to support you on your journey towards a more fulfilling life.

Courageous Actions: Doing the Thing and Saying the Thing

Do you ever find yourself avoiding those difficult conversations or putting off important tasks? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Many of us struggle with avoidance, and it can really hold us back. When we avoid things, we miss out on opportunities, strain our relationships, and ultimately don’t reach our full potential.

This week, we’re going to explore the concept of avoidance and how it can affect us. We’ll talk about the importance of embracing discomfort and building resilience through courageous actions, like saying the thing we’ve been avoiding or doing that task we’ve been putting off.

Keep reading to learn some tips on how to overcome avoidance and take courageous steps towards a more fulfilling life.

Understanding Avoidance

Avoidance is the act of staying away from or not doing something. In relationships, it often means not saying what needs to be said, which is the opposite of radical truth telling.

We engage in avoidance when we resist having difficult conversations, being direct, clear, or thorough, or postponing things. We may use excuses, reasons, and other obligations to justify our avoidance. Internal indicators such as anxiety, tension, sweating, and a racing heart can reveal that we are afraid and lack the confidence to face what may arise.

Avoidance means we are in resistance. We avoid unpleasant, unsafe, and uncomfortable situations. We may avoid expressing ourselves because we fear upsetting or losing someone. We may also avoid triggering a particular emotion, such as anger or depression.

This avoidance can occur when we take too much responsibility for other people’s feelings and experiences, take things personally, or have weak boundaries that allow others’ emotions and experiences to become our own.

It’s okay to feel scared sometimes, but we need to be brave enough to face our fears. Avoiding difficult conversations or situations may seem easier in the moment, but it can lead to long-term problems. By expressing ourselves honestly and directly, we can create healthier relationships and avoid misunderstandings.

If you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, take a moment to breathe deeply and collect your thoughts. Remember that you have the power to choose how you respond to difficult situations. By facing challenges head-on, you can build your confidence and grow as a person.

How do I know if I am avoiding?

Excuses, reasons, and busy schedules or other obligations often come up when we’re avoiding something. However, our own internal indicators, such as a nagging feeling in the gut, muscle tightness, shortness of breath, loss of thought, sweating, and heart racing, can also signal that we’re anxious, scared, or fearful. This is usually because we lack confidence, don’t know where to start, or feel incompetent to face what may arise within us or with another person. Sometimes, things may just feel too big to handle.

The key is not to take on other people’s thoughts, emotions, expressions, or experiences. To achieve this, we can embrace discomfort, both our own and others’. By asking profound and powerful questions, we can gain wisdom that we might otherwise overlook.

One way to leverage discomfort is by asking questions such as “What is this? Why are you here? What do you have for me? Where did this come from? Why is this occurring? How can you support me?” When we ask such questions, we’re more likely to gain profound and powerful insights.

Another technique is to get comfortable with discomfort, both our own and that of others. Reflect on situations where you feel uncomfortable and try to lean into the discomfort. This can be a powerful teacher that allows us to approach difficult situations directly and honestly.

Questions for reflection:

Use these questions to reflect on how avoidance may be affecting your life and relationships. The following questions will help you explore the concept of avoidance and how you can overcome it.

  1. What topics do you tend to avoid discussing with others? What spaces do you avoid? Why do you think this is, and how can you lean into discomfort and address these issues?
  2. How does your avoidance or enmeshment negatively affect yourself and others? How does it strip you or them of power?
  3. What happens when you become uncomfortable with discomfort? Do you become anxious, speak more, provide answers or guidance, shut down, or redirect the conversation to another topic? How can you approach discomfort in a more productive way?

Reflecting on these questions can be a valuable exercise in understanding how avoidance may be affecting your life and relationships. By embracing discomfort and taking courageous actions, you can overcome avoidance and reach your full potential.
